By Way of Introduction

Hello from the OLA Communications Desk.  I have recently been appointed to the role of Communications Officer, stepping into the very large shoes left by my predecessor, William Brown, and would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

Very briefly, my name is Michelle Robertson and I am originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. I have travelled extensively in Southern Africa, Europe and the USA, and lived in both South Africa, and for a couple of years, in California, USA.  I settled in Cork, Ireland in May 2017 together with my husband and three adult children, and am thrilled to have joined the OLA family.

I’ve worked in communications, media and adult education for most of my life and look forward to taking up the challenge of the communications role at OLA.

The wonderful work being done by the OLA Sisters in Africa, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East in the areas of healthcare, education and the empowerment of women and children in marginalised societies is something I am equally passionate about.  I look forward to bringing you their stories and sharing their amazing works with you.

Don’t forget to follow the OLA story on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
