Child Safeguarding Policy
Throughout March, the prayer intentions of our Justice Desk are centred on confronting racial discrimination against people of African descent. It's imperative for us to engage in inward reflection and acknowledge the existence of unconscious biases within ourselves. Recognising racism and bias is not only about our individual thoughts and actions, but also about understanding the systemic complexities involved. We have a responsibility to examine our own attitudes and actions and to challenge discrimination wherever we encounter it. It’s time to engage in honest conversations, educate ourselves, and commit to dismantling the structures that perpetuate inequality. We need strive for a society where every individual is valued and treated with dignity.
As we focus on racial discrimination for the month of March, let's reflect on the ways in which we benefit from the systems that perpetuate inequality. How can we challenge the status quo, and what can we do to address these inequalities and bring about much needed change?
We join Pope Francis in prayer for the Nigerian people and for our Sisters and Brothers who live and work there.
It's shaping up to be another busy year. Here are some of our upcoming events...
