OLA Research Archive
We are grateful for our rich heritage and concious of the importance of history which can be lost or distorted if it is not properly documented. ~ Acts of the General Chapter 2023
The Archive of the Irish District of Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles holds records of enduring historical value to the OLA Province of Ireland. As a valuable resource for researchers interested in the history of the Province, our records also provide insight into the social and economic history of the areas in which they have lived and fulfilled their charism over time.
Genealogical research is another area for which the Archive can be a resource. Records survive from various institutions and projects historically run by the Sisters (such as schools and missionary organisations). Please note, access to some records is restricted under Data Protection legislation.
The Archives also hold artefacts pertaining to the OLA Sisters’ broader history as a Province and their missionary experiences.
All enquiries must be initiated through the contact form.
