This month, our prayer intention turns to the dignity of women and children, those whose lives too often remain unseen, unheard, or unprotected.

As missionary women committed to justice, peace, and the integrity of creation, we carry in our hearts the realities faced by many across the world: the mother facing violence with courage, the girl denied education, the child displaced by conflict, the young woman forced into early marriage. In our work we witness those living with the weight of discrimination, exclusion, or harm; those whose lives are shaped by decisions made without them.

To pray for dignity is to recognise the sacredness of each life. It is to remember that no person is less worthy of safety, care, or belonging. It is to act in ways that recognise and protect the humanity in one another, to affirm it, and create space for it to flourish. It is also a reminder to examine our own choices and commitments and how they reflect or fall short of that belief.

In prayer, we hold space for those who have been silenced. In action, we seek to support their voices. And in community, we commit ourselves to the long, often quiet, work of accompaniment and advocacy.

Throughout July, we invite you to join us in prayer remembering all those whose dignity is overlooked. We pray that they may live free from violence. That their gifts may be recognised. That the systems which exploit or disregard them may be transformed. May we remain attentive, not only in word, but in how we listen, speak, and respond. And may our prayers shape the work of our hands.
