We are delighted that after two years of travel restrictions we will once again be welcoming volunteers to our medical and education missions in Tanzania.

In preparation for the mission, four of the six students completed an orientation day with Sr. Mary Usifoh and John McGeady, our Justice Officer, at Ardfoyle Convent on Monday 27 June, ahead of their departure on 7 July.

They will make the 7000km journey from Dublin to the city of Mwanza in northern Tanzania and then travel to the rural area of Bugisi to begin their volunteer experience.

Jamie Rice, Eoin Ó Briain, Robbie Kelleher, Orla Catherine O’Connor , Sophie Edel Whyms and Keenan Catherine are all students at Trinity College in Dublin, in the fields of medicine, Geography and Botany.
