Peace in the Waiting

📖 Scripture: Romans 15:4–13
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

🍃 Reflection
Peace is not the absence of conflict — it’s the presence of Christ. In this second week of Advent, we’re invited to rest in the promise that God is near, even when the world feels restless. Paul reminds us that peace comes through trust, and trust is built through Scripture, community, and prayer.
Waiting can feel like tension, but Advent reframes it as sacred stillness. In the quiet, God speaks peace.

🙏 Prayer
Prince of Peace, settle my heart in Your presence. Teach me to wait with grace, to trust with joy, and to live in the peace that only You can give.

🧡 Personal reflection
Where do I feel unrest or anxiety this week?
What practices help me experience God’s peace?

🏠 Concluding Prayer on Peace
God of Stillness and Light,
In this season of waiting, You whisper peace into our restless hearts.
You calm the storms within us and remind us that Your presence is our protection.

Teach us to be peacemakers in a world that longs for healing.
Let Your peace flow through our words, our actions, and our silence.
May we carry Your light into places of conflict,
and be vessels of Your grace wherever we are.

May Your peace settle over our communities, and our world.
And may we become bearers of that peace,
sharing it freely, living it boldly,
as we prepare for the coming of Christ. Amen.
