“but he has answered me, ‘My grace is enough for you: for power is at full stretch in weakness.’ It is, then, about my weaknesses that I am happiest of all to boast, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me;” ~ 2 Corinthians 12:9
God uses the broken. God uses those who are weak and flawed and afraid and shattered. God uses the weak.
The Grace of Christ is sufficient for us in our weakness and our brokenness. How comforting to know that we are enough in our weakness, and that the full power of Grace is made available to us in that weakness.
For any of us who may feel that we are too broken to be of use, let us be consoled to know that throughout the bible, God has used people just like us, with all our flaws and weakness, to achieve great things.
Prayer
Loving God,
I know that Your Grace is sufficient for me,
where I am weak, You are strong.
Help me to trust that Your Grace is enough.
Whatever the world brings,
let me find my peace in You.
May your Spirit be upon me
and make me whole.
